I have a thunderbolt and cannot get HTC Sync and drivers to work on Windows 7 64-bit.
The phone attempts to connect via HTC Sync and the Windows application starts to launch, then dissapears and then Windows pops up a dialog box saying that that "htc.exe has stopped working" with the option to close the program.
I tried it on Windws 7 32-bit which worked perfectly!
I'm having the same problem with Windows XP how can I make it work?
This will be just something you might want to try. The new version even if they don't say probably gives support to their new tablets that are out or coming out. I have version 3.0.5511 installed and it works perfectly. You might give this version a try to see how it works out for you.
Sadam, that is weird because that is the first driver that I installed and it did not seem to work, but now it does.
It think it was because it alerted me to an update that I installed (which was probably 3.0.5557) assuming that this would be a GOOD thing!
Thanks
P.S. HTC, can you please find a way to make the latest version work on Windowss 7 64-bit?
The latest driver as stated above should work.
In Win7 64 bit - load the program then in control panel. programs you can choose which programs to use in combatibility mode. This program will run in 32 bit Win7.
I used the program once back when i had XP, didnt see the need for it. I have Win7 64 bit and never loaded it, still dont see a need for it. The phone sync's with your google account, what do you need this program for?
Please Tag your post. Holding your finger for maybe 2-3 seconds on items on the phone works in several areas
Hello there, please I also have a problem syncing my htc sensation xl with htc sync, i'm using a hp pavilion dv6 and running windows 8 consumer preview. I've installed the latest version of htc sync but my phone still can't find htc sync on my computer.
Thanks.
I think that is is due to the fact that we do not have outlook express and there is no way to sync contacts
