Phone Randomly shutting off

I've been noticing my phone is randomly shutting off, it is VERY annoying, does anyone have any clue how to fix this.

I bought my Thunderbolt yesterday and when I began using the camera last night, it was working fine. Today, however, I receive this message error when I try to use the front facing camera. I click on the camera link off the desktop, go to menu, select "switch camera" and then that error message appears. Any ideas whats going on?

I was reading through the huge manual for the Thunderbolt and came across a section that indicates to enable speaker phone, I should "flip" the phone over. I tried this but nothing seemed to happen....what could I be doing wrong? I called my voicemail and when it connected I flipped the phone over...nothing happened. How is this suppose to work? Thanks so much....

Can't Type

I am having this issue when I leave my MESSAGES open or any app that i can type in open... and my phone sleeps and when i turn it back on... i cant type anything at all!!!! and this happens to other text/typing areas when it comes back on. for example, im texting someone... and im done... but dont close the message app and sleep it with the button... once i turn it back on... with the message app is still on and i wanna type something else... nothing comes up!!!! and ive only had it for a week. anyone else have this same problem? can i take it back to verzion and exchange for a new one since its only been a week?=/

Phone won't get past initial white screen with HTC logo

I have had my phone for over a year with few problems. 4G recently turned on in my area, which rapidly kills my battery. Phone ran out of battery at work, which is normal. Plugged it in when I got home and it tried to start, but it seemed to stick at the initial white screen/htc logo. Pulled battery, left out for a few minutes and tried again with the same results. Left battery out of phone overnight, reinstalled battery about 12 hrs later and phone turned on and started normally. Plugged in and charged normally too. I let it charge for a few hours and it worked fine all afternoon. Came home and plugged into charger, phone charged fully until green LED came on. Unplugged charger and phone instantly went to the white HTC logo screen and started to do the startup loop fail cycle again. I can access the boot menu with the power/volume down buttons, but any selection I make in the boot menu just reverts back to the white screen again. Any help?? My phone is beyond warranty/replacement so at this point I will try anything. It is not rooted, nor do I run any task management apps or anything that has ever caused a conflict on my phone.

Syncing body of calendar entries between Outlook and TBolt

I am using Outlook 2010 and HTC Sync 3.2.20, and when I sync my calendar entries from Outlook to my Tbolt, all calendar entries come over fine. However, on some of the calendar entries, the body of the calendar entries do not show up on my phone at all. For example, if I have a calendar entry and the body of that entry has meeting agenda items, I can not see those agenda items on my phone. So, I am wondering why this happens for some of the calendar entries and not others...seems to be inconsistent. I tried to see if there were patterns I can see but have had no luck. For instance, I tried to see if the body of the calendar entries didn't show on those entries where I was the sender of the invite and I sent it to others. But I have seen where I can see the body on entries where I am the sender of the invite and in those where I am not. Please advise. Thanks!

Phone numbers prepended with area code

I switched from an Ally to a Droid X and then to the Thunderbolt once the store I bought it from had them in stock.

I've noticed that when I receive a call from anyone, the area code is prepended regardless of whether or not I'm in the same area code. It does this for all of my contacts that I have not explicitly added the area code to their numbers.

This causes the phone to display "Unknown" as the caller. I didn't have this happen with my prior two phones.

Is there any way to turn stop this from happening? Sure, I could change all of my contacts' numbers but I shouldn't have to go that route.

Contact Names and photos sporadically changing

For some reason, the photos I have for contacts just randomly default to their profile photos from Facebook. Ironically, the names will change, but not to what the contact has on Facebook. It goes to whatever was listed on the phone. The only reason why that annoys me is that is when I put in "Given Name" of Joe and then a "Family Name" of Smith, the phone will do this crazy thing and say my contact is Joe Joe. How do I keep this from happening?

HTC sync will rarely work. It will occasionally( 1 in 5 tries) find thunderbolt then quickly disconnects. Any solutions. Not really happy with software bugs found so far or ability to find support.

Dial by name won't work with my 2010 Lexus 450h

I have owned a 2010 Lexus 450h for a little over a year. I had a blackberry phone that worked perfectly with the "dial by name" function. I transfered my contacts from the blackberry to the lexus and could dial any contact by name using my voice only. When I got the Thunderbolt by Verizon, I erased the blackberry contacts, transfred the Thunderbolt contacts and now the system only recognizes my voice request to dial contacts about 20% of the time. Any ideas? Verizon and Lexus have been of no help!

I have a thunderbolt and cannot get HTC Sync and drivers to work on Windows 7 64-bit.

The phone attempts to connect via HTC Sync and the Windows application starts to launch, then dissapears and then Windows pops up a dialog box saying that that "htc.exe has stopped working" with the option to close the program.

I tried it on Windws 7 32-bit which worked perfectly!

My phone battery goes from full to 5% in an hour. I don't think its the battery because it stays charged an on. Anyone have any idea what could be wrong and if there's any way to fix it?

Screen randomly lighting up

I recently noticed my phone battery was dying WAY faster than normal, and I could not find out why. I did not download any new applications since the battery has started to die way faster but then I realized when I was eating today that my phone would randomly light up on the table for no reason- no calls or notifications. After noticing the phone randomly lighting up while eating I keep seeing it do it every 15-20 minutes for no reason. The screen automatically shuts off after some time but this is killing my battery for no reason.

When I try to connect to my WIFI on my Thunderbolt it says its connection to the Ip and nothing happens. It does this over and over again. I tried a reset, and i redid my password for the WIFI. Really dont want to factory reset so any help would be much appreicated. I have read other forums and nothing has hepled.

Mobile Network checkbox in the "Quick Settings" pull-down not in sync with phone's settings

If I go in to Settings > Wireless & networks and change the state of the "Mobile network" checkbox, the Quick Settings pull-down screen's "Mobile Network" read out is not in sync with the above setting. For example, I just went in to the settings and turned Mobile network off... my 4G symbol went away, but the Quick Settings pull-down says Mobile Network "ON" but the checkbox is unchecked...?

Anyone else having this issue? WTF?
