I have got this peculiar issue with my Inspire. The phone was working pretty good last night before I went to bed (had 50-60% battery charged) before it refused to turn on this morning. I have tried all the possible solutions like charging the battery, soft reset, hard reset, pulling the battery and replacing it after few hours but every time I try to turn it on, it gives a strange 7 vibrations and there is nothing on the screen. It does this vibrations exactly 7 times whenever I try to boot the phone by pulling out the battery and replacing it back.I have no clue as to what these vibrations mean and have been frustrated with the way the phone refuses to boot. Is there anyone who is facing the same issue? What does the 7-vibration mean? Please help.
ThanksVenu
No Idea but you may be able to recover your device using the Hard Reset Keystroke:
Power device off.
Remove and reinsert battery.
With device still powered off, press and hold the VOL Down and Power Button until you get a white screen with text.
Use the VOL Down button for Clear Storage and follow the prompts. This will wipe and reload your devices OS.

I did try that and then spoke to HTC Tech Support, who made me follow the same steps for Hard Reset. Eventually I had to send the phone to HTC to either get it repaired / replaced. I hope I get an answer when the tech support does the diagnosis. Will update if I get a solution.
Thanks

Did you ever find out what was wrong with your phone, I am having the same problem.
I got a new phone replaced from HTC. They did not tell me the cause of this malfunction.
I'm having the same trouble. I got my Inspire end of July & it had the same trouble you described about 2 weeks ago. I've tried everything you did as well. I have phone insurance & almost paid to get it replaced. I'm relieved to know that it's covered by the warranty!
Did you have to send it to HTC or your cell phone provider?
My Inspire does the exact same thing! When you sent your Inspire back, what was the cost? My phone is out of warranty and told me it could cost "anywhere from $70-$300."
Hi @Cmac330,
Sorry to hear about the trouble with your phone! Are you still experiencing the power on problem? Also if you have a case/ticket number from where you called into our customer support I’d love to look into this further for you!
hi same problem but only vibrate 3 time and not on i try everything
This is exactly my situation. It went down a week ago and I tried a new battery last night, still the same. I've had the phone almost a year and a half and everything has been great. No warranty now :-( Is the phone toast?
This does nothing. I still get the 7 pulses and black screen.
So, I see that the same issue has been around for two years and noone has a solution other than send it back to the Mfg. and pay them to fix their defect. I put my SIM card back in my 4 year old Samsung and I'm back in business. Hmm, I don't think I'll buy another HTC.
