My phone just started having issues charging. When it's plugged into the home charger I have to be very careful on the position of the cable going into the port. If you move the phone or cable just a hair it will quit charging. Thinking it was the new charger I got back in July, I took it back to Verizon and it was replaced but it still does the same thing. On the car charger, it seems to do better however it will still act up. The phone is just a year and 2 months old. My problem is this, I can't afford to be without a phone as I travel alot and I have no old phones to activate while it is in for repair. My extended warranty will cover it but I have to shell out $99 according to Verizon when I'm due to update the phone in March. On Verizon's forum it seems that I am not the only person with this issue and therefore it should be treated as a "known issue" and replaced. I'm a full-time RV'er and not in any one location for that long. The other morning I woke up to a dead phone while it was connected to the charger. I'm about ready to throw it into the drink.
Hey @Troyf650, ive very sorry to hear you’re having issues charging your phone. It seems you have completed all the normal troubleshooting we can recommend. The only other thing I could recommend is speaking with my teammates in Customer Support , their contact info can be found at www.htc.com/support . They can inform you about repair options and maybe able to come up with a unique way to get this resolved for you.
