I really like the fact the Flyer runs Gingerbread because of the additional debug/developer functionality not included in Honeycomb. Will we lose that functionality (specifically USB debugging and Internet Pass Through) if we upgrade to Honeycomb? I use the Flyer attached directly to local computer to test touch-enabled web pages that are not accessible via WiFi in a business environment. I'm worried a forced update will kill the tablet's usefulness for me as a developer. What about the USB connection choices such as disk drive, will that go away?
I'd not be too worried. I doubt that the Flyer will every receive Honeycomb, or any other update. It is a dead end product. Tablets haven't sold well except for Apple, and the support is just not there
I just readt this. "dead end product"? Why are/were you even a member of this site ipsocrats?! I'm sure there are plenty iforums out there that will ientertain you and all the other isheep that think the iworld revolves round apple. Let the rest of the world be open minded, we won't bother you!
