I spoke to a Sprint Rep today and he told me to expect the update Mid-May. He said the update will fix: Clock Widget displaying inaccurate times, youtube cannot play error, intermittent unable to recieve SMS, Picturemail Download Unsuccesful error, EvDO- only indicator, Wired headset not reconized by device, Text converstions merged/mislabeled, E-Mails forwarded from menu option do not include attachments, and inaccurate dat for calendar enteries between the years of 1901 and 1944

That would be really nice to be able to believe this but the reps don't know much of anything either. When I first got my phone back in February and noticed problems I called them to see what was up and they told me March 22nd there would be an update to 2.1 and that would fix my problems. Here it is 2 months later and still no update, I'll believe it when I actually get a message from Sprint saying that I can do an update.

exactly, that what im saying! i payed to much for this phone and only had it since Nov last year to b having to keep having these problems!

No FIRM Promise from HTC for uk customers on 2.1 update, although they state June my reply from HTC reproduced below. Also YOU forum set up does not allow for UK customers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO CRAP SUPPORT FOR UK FROM HTC.

About what you said, at the moment the version for the Hero is 1.5 and there is no other updates between 1.5 and 2.1, there is the 1.6 but it is just for the Tattoo, and to be honest we are not sure yet if the 2.1 is going to be avalaible for the Hero. If you have problems with your mobile, we suggest you to call us to explain to an agent zour problems. Kind regards

I'll wait for the EVO- and it BETTER not have the same crap!
