After i installed 5 or 6 apps i received a message of "Internal Memory Low" please use the SD & Memory App to free up some space.
The PROBLEM you can not move all apps to the SD CARD, and the phone it is full of "pre installed" apps; this makes the phone useless!!!!
any ideas how to make the SD card space to be accepted as the internal memory=?

first off let me just say how much i think this phone sucks!!!!!!! i had the same problem and couldnt even view my pics. when the phone shows the low memory screen u have to follow the prompts and shut down every ap that came with the phone that u dont really use. this will only be temporary and it will tell u that as u go. when u power off and power on they will auto reset. after doing this i was able to free up enough space to view my pics. personally im going to by the lg esteem and sell this piece of s#@t. hope this helped.
i have the same problem a lot, but i love this phone! im the type of person that changes phone around every 6 months and i still havent gotten bored of it. to solve this issue i use the app called ES FILE EXPLORER. this app lets me backup all the apps i want on my memory card. since the internal memory rans out fast i use certain apps at a certain time. if i want to socialize i install the apps, when i have to do research i install the dictionary or whichever app i need, uninstalling the other ones. since they are backed up i dont have to go to the market/Google play to re-install it, it doesnt even require access to the internet to install. this is what i use and no its not a hassle, just uninstall and download the ones you want, back them up, uninstall them, and download more and more apps doing the same thing over and over again.
the other option is the so call "breaking" the phone that allows u to store the metro apps that we never use to the memory card. but if this is not done appropriate u can mess up the entire phone, and if it has warranty well u wont be able to claim it under the warranty. i believe HTC support provides you with the steps of how to successfully do that on the phone. i havent done it yet, but i plan to.
I'm having the same problem on my Samsung. I found some solutions (without having too root) your phone. If you are even mildly technical, (can pull up a command prompt on Windows PC-follow directions :-)) should not be difficult *HOWEVER* go slow, be careful, as you are dealing with the "Guts" of the system, so don't want to mistype something.
What these solutions do is install direct to your SD card (vs installing to the temp then having to manually move). This also means you'll have to be careful with what you download.
there's two ways I found,
1-st you can install a "terminal" app. (essentially a Linux window to obtain a command prompt)---however, personally don't like this as you have to keep the Terminal App installed and running. It is by far the easiest way (but again, go slow, you're at the command prompt of the system, so don't mess up).
You'll need to install the . Android Terminal Emulator--Jack Palevich
from Google PLay (over 1MM installs, guess its safe).
I don't know if this will allow me to post links, so just Google for
How to Install Apps on SD Card by Default in Android 2.2 (Froyo)
The website is jaxov.com
2nd way (more complicated, but permanent results).
You have to install the
JAVA SDK KIT and the Andrioid SDK kit
After you download, install those on your computer
The Best instructions I found were on "howtogeek" (dot) com
How to Install Android Apps to the SD Card by Default & Move Almost Any App to the SD Card
Be sure to be careful--read the warning at the bottom, not all Apps can be moved to SDK (even though this will allow you to do so).
As far as bloatware, I feel your pain. Whenever I (use to) order a Box from Dell, etc. Very first thing I would do is format the drive and re-install the OS--just to get rid of the bloatware.
I'm using the Samsung Admire, nice enough phone, cannot wait until I can afford/get that top of line phone they just announced.
If you missed the release, Samsung partnered with MetroPCS to come out with first over the Air T.V. Phone. First Gen (like anything)--looks kinda low rent---has an external antennae, etc. But this is the first step of many I'm sure with MetroPCS.
Good luck with your SD Install....
HI!! I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!! DO YOU THINK WE CAN HAVE OUR MONEY BACK?!!!! BECAUSE IT REALLY SUCKS!!!!!
