My rezound keeps rebooting and is on a full charge. It loads the 4G LTE screen but hangs then when it does load I can draw the pattern to unlock but takes forever load then the screen shuts off. Is it a battery issue? Is it another issue? Any way to fix this? Should I let the battery run out? I don't charge the phone every night and I just got the phone when it came out.
I would suggest a factory reset. I believe you hold the volume DOWN button while at the same time holding the power button (with the phone off)...and it should boot into the boot options screen...select factory reset...but, be advised....you will lose whatever you have on the phone itself not the SD card...such as apps and if you store phone contact numbers on the phone itself...those will be lost too..
K
and if I did the backup utility any way to restore?
I have never done the backup before. I always 'sync' my contacts with Gmail - so they are always backed up. I put all photos/videos/documents on the SD card so they are always available to me after a factory wipe...
I'm afraid you are on your own on the restoration process/backup...There are many many communities out there to research this in...HTC has an email address that they are pretty quick to respond (during the day)...also..
As a matter of procedure, I usually do a factory data wipe before doing anything to my phone(s). It's also smart to clear the "cache partition" as well. I have had my Rezound for less than a week and did a factory wipe/cache wipe before I set my phone up...
Thanks for your help! I appreciate it!
My wife's phone started doing this last night. It would boot up to the lock screen, say "No signal" and then reboot itself before you could get to the home screen. It did this indefinitely until I took the battery out. When I put everything back together it started rebooting itself again. I found that the only way to get it to not reboot itself was to turn it on with the battery cover off. For some reason the antenna in the battery casing caused it to go into an infinite booting loop. Once I had it past the lock screen I went into the settings and turned off Fast Boot and switched my network settings off of LTE+CDMA to just CDMA, and then gave it a fresh reboot. After it rebooted fully I put the battery cover back on and its been ok since... But I'm really worried its going to happen again.
If you turn off LTE+CDMA aren't you turning off 3G/4G internet access? I'm not sure just asking. You might just be better off doing a factory reset also. Hopefully the ice cream sandwich os upgrade will be out soon.
Mine just all of a sudden rebooted yesterday. Out of the blue it just went to the white screen and couldn't restart. It kept rebooting and just as it was almost rebooted it would reboot again. Endless loop! Had to pull battery to get phone back. Then it took forever to boot and I could not get it to come off black screen for a couple min. Green light at top blinking during g this. Works OK now but why did this happen?
I found an answer to how to fix this problem without having to do a factory reset. See yukisays.wordpress.com/.../how-to-fix-the-htc-rezound-infinite-boot-loop
