Guess they don't want to discuss it any more.
I called HTC support this morning they said they have no information on this problem. Anyway did some seaching this afternoon in Android forums.Found a dialer app that works great with my Blueant Q2.Cyberon Voice Commander Cost 5.99 BUT it works.Unpair your device download app and install.Reboot phone then repair device. Say voice command and choose Voice commander as your default Bluetooth dialer and your set
I too bought the Cyberon Voice Commander and installed it like you (although I had to do it twice) and it does work. However I still liked the original dialer better and although CVC is adequate it is not as good.

As an update, HTC Has finished work on an update to the Vivid and is in the process of verifying and validating it. While I have no ETA on its deployment, you can know that an update is on the way.
I'm glad to hear there is an update on the way. I also miss the dialer, and there are a couple of minor but annoying bugs that I hope will get patched.
Can I be a beta tester for this?
Okay, thanks for the the news. As far as the update for the Vivid, you told us the same thing about 2 or 3 weeks ago that an update is on the way and Christmas is coming soon also!!! This is ridiculous!
I also dont believe that there were difficulty with the forums, I just thing you did not want potential customers to read what we were writing. HTC better get their act together if they want repeat business in the future!
CAN THE FRUSTRATED CUSTOMERS HAVE A STATUS UPDATE ON AN ETA FOR THE UPDATE. BY NOW THERE SHOULD BE AN IDEA OF WHEN WILL BE? PLEASE!
Any further news regarding blue tooth voice dialing?
For four months my phone has failed to work as advertised due to an official software update. Communication from HTC during this time has been patchy, vague, and generally useless. Six weeks ago there was supposedly a fix in testing. Since then no communication at all. I agree that deployment should not be rushed 9as the initial ICS deployment clearly was) however letting us know the status once a week would probably help consumer relations tremendously.
It's been 2 months to the day and were still hearing the same ###t
So during an email chain with a customer service Rep I was informed that there is no intention to patch or otherwise fix any bluetooth functionality. They claim that the hardware and software is working as intended. So those needing voice dialing are required to obtain a 3rd party dialer, any one like me suffering with the device no longer provifding the addressbook to the handsfree device correctly are required to contact the handsfree manufacturer because it's thier fault that a software update to the cell phone removed functionality. Yep, that 's completely logical. This experience has taught me one final thing, never ever buy an HTC product again.
I tried Cyberon and other so-called voice dialer apps in my Vivid, and none of them seemed to work,so Im not wasting any more money on these worthless apps which don't really do what they claim they do.
