Its realy a shame that I phone users can download Google now and we the people that buy android phones have to wait months to get an upgrade, i bought my HTC ONE X from AT&T last month in October and was assured by At&t that the upgrade to Jelly Bean would come in late October early November its Nov 13, 2012 i just spoke to someone from HTC and they dont have a clue when we will get the upgrade now i understand why so many people purchase an i phone when they promise an upgrade the come through. lets hope that we get it before the end of the year but based on past experiences i thought it see to beleive. if this does not change soon i will sadly leave android for an i phone. all the news you read on the internet is all a lie.
ya i completely understand they are going to lose lots of consumers because the are holdingback something that we should be entiled to i think i will go with i phone or galaxy note that already has jelly bean
Most consumers have no idea about the update lifecycle of their phone. Most only know when the phone tells them. So they likely won't lose any customers from deficient update cycles. They will lose far more from the wifi connectivity issues that plague this phone. It's gotten so bad that i am considering selling mine and getting something else at full price.
Also isn't the delay at least partly the carriers fault as well?
you are right, its mostly the carrier you are using in my case AT&T i have no problems the the connecting to WIFI sorry to hear that.
Well i hate to do this but i will root my phone and put custom Jellybean ROM on here because its no telling when or if we will get an update. Kinda sucks and makes me want to leave ATT
i would hate to root my phone becuase if you do that and something goes wrong your stuck with a phone that might not work and loose the warranty on it. i just wish that either at&t or HTC would make up their minds and just give us the update why are we in the usa allways the last ones to get any kind of upgrade its a shame. ive been reading that everyone in asea and now europe and even south america is getting the upgrade but only to phones that are unlocked not the ones we buy with a contract from the us carriers.
Thats true Tony. I really don't want to root it but like you said man it doesn't make sense but HTC or ATT won't listen so maybe we will get it by Christmas. I don't know if they even read these lol
To be honest guys.. I'm truly believing that they just simply don't care about what "We" want.. They do what they want.. & have selective hearing on the phone & their website. Not having Sense 4.1 on the US AT&T HTC One X is proof of that
Android phones are made to be disposable, not upgradeable. That's why they come out with a new one every couple weeks. Support for these phones is severely lacking.
I get it, time for a Samsung or Nokia windows phone
The Problem is your Mobile Provider mines is ATT they don't want to give you the update for Jelly Bean. Because they want you to buy another phone the best way around this is to buy your phone unlocked when the manufacture release the Update you can get it from them, when you buy the phone from the service provider you get it when they want to give it to you
