Downloaded newest update yesterday. Google navigation is useless now...maps process failure within a minute of starting navigation. Installed same update on my fiance's phone...same thing. I have done soft and hard resets as well as completely reprovisioning. Also formatted the SD card. Nothing helps.
I suspect the OTA was corrupted somehow...is there a way to force a reinstall?
I just tried Google maps & Navigation with my HTC EVO 4G LTE hardware version 003, jellybean... no issues.
thanks for the response....did you try using the nav feature while driving or just turn it on? I ask because that is when mine is failing. btw...ran the update on my fiance's phone...same thing. Runs okay for a few minutes and then gives a map process error. Went to the sprint store today and they did a check up on it and claimed to find a thread indicating a fix is on the way. :/
Am getting the same issue. I tried to use the navigation today, and it keep crashing on me. So the navigation app after the Jelly bean update is now completely useless. Sure hope they fix the issues with the OTA. The navigation is not the only major issue am having since the OTA.
Thanks for the reply. I spoke to Sprint on the 18th and they over-nighted new phones to me. I'm not sure if it makes a difference but once I activated the phones the first thing I did was install the OTA before installing any apps/updates. I have made a couple of test trips and so far I have had no problem. My fiance will be testing hers today...hopefully hers will be fixed too. Maybe doing a factory reset prior to an OTA would avoid these problems? Cheers and Merry Christmas
I've been having the same issue, I took it to the Sprint Repair Center they couldn't resolve the issue. I just emailed HTC
