What, HTC does not have a software division? You have got to be kidding me. Listen here want a be with a pre. The Sense UI, which runs on top of the Android OS on Eris, is a product of HTC. Many of the widgets available on the Eris are a product of HTC development. I suppose you think these are hardware. Dude, I am so sorry you settled for the Pre. You should be visiting the other site, “if only I bought an Android device instead of a Pre”. Maybe if you had actually bought and used a Droid you would understand what I have been talking about.
You might be thriving off of our misery for now, trying to justify to yourself why you settled for a Pre but when we do finally get 2.1 (when HTC finally gets their act together) you will be one sad little puppy. Only then will you realize the true power of the Droids. Only then will you understand why Palm has begun to wither under their onslaught. Only then will you realize there is no Palm force Luke.

Oh, I forgot to mention, HTC made modifications to the kernel to get Sense UI to work that's why HTC Droids had pinch to zoom when the others did not. Dude you just don't know what you are talking about. I would classify you as sub-knob, you aren’t even a knob. Then again why are you even in here you are not even an HTC customer.

check the specs...and my processor is overclocked to 800MHz thanks to a patch which is perfectly legit due to webOS being 100% source (and yes I know the droid's can be too and yes I know it voids my warranty..but then again so does gettin your phone wet). I don't remember saying my Pre was better than your droid (what are you...3?)..if you wanna start a manlyhood battle go to a bar and get drunk. Hell, take your droid...it might get you laid. But it won't get you an update for your eris :)
oh...and good luck with that MOTOROLA lasting the length of your 2yr contract...

OMFG you did NOT just say they had to modify their kernel to have pinch & zoom??? LMFAO!!! You right dude...i don't belong here...im goin back to the forum for peeps who have phones that actually work correctly and can do things like mobile hotspot (yours CAN'T) and save lives (mine did).
