My Rogers HTC Dream gets stuck on the Rogers startup screen. I have read other posts which suggest doing a hard reset and this works except EVERY time the phone turns off, I have to do a reset to get it going again. Can this be repaired? Thanks
If you're under warranty, I'd call Rogers right away and try to get a replacement.
I'm 4 months OOW and they basically told me I was SOL.
It's disappointing... but unfortunately even after escalating my call from tech support to the 'managerial' level, the guy wouldn't budge on his early HUP.
The only hardware upgrades that run the Android OS that were made available to me were:
1 - Sony X10 - 2-year 399; 3-year 99
2 - HTC Magic - 2-year 299; 3-year 79
My plan wouldn't change and there is also a $35 'non-waivable' activation fee.
I'm about 16 months into my contract and it was $500 to cancel.
Thanks for the reply. Only 10 days out of warranty when I took it in to Rogers and they didn't care. They sent me a Samsung Forever which does not have all the features the HTC but I can't drop the plan down either and am only 12 months (and 10 days) into a 3 year plant. I'm going to cut my losses and get out of the plan all together. Bye bye Rogers!
