I have photos on my phone that I want to transfer to my PC. I have tried astro file manager to move to SD card with no success, I tried to hook my Incredible to the computer with the USB cable, but have no clue what to do on the phone or computer once this is done. I have read the user manual, I have read forums, but the information is far too general to be any help whatsoever (like try hooking phone to PC with USB cable). Once I do that what should I do - what program and instructions for PC and what settings or programs on the phone? I know what directory the pictures are located in from reading forums ans using Astro File Manager, but I need very precise step by step instructions on what to do to transfer the pictures from my Incredible to my PC - this should be addressed in the manual but it isn't! I am trying to stay sane over this, but Verizon has clearly has blown it with the user manual, and overestimates the user's knowledge.
Can someone please help me? I have priceless old family photos on this phone that I got from my 90 + year old aunt, and need to get them on my PC, and to a safe location (perhaps a DVD). I know how to burn DVDs.
Thank you.
Hi, open photo app, press the button that has the two arrows going left and right up, and it gives options to send by email and Bluetooth and other ways to transfer photos, just tap the arrow and picture and pick the easiest way like email or Bluetooth.. That is how I move pictures from phone to PC. There is also a way to to use the microSD adapter if your computer has a sot for it.
You can also via USB cable. Plug the phone into your PC, a menu should appear on the phone. If not pull down the notification bar and click on "charging". This will bring up the menu. Choose "Mount as Drive."
This will add two drives to your PC. Now through the File explorer, you can easily copy the ones you want and then paste them where you want on your PC.
This was very helpful and I was able to transfer my picture, but it seem to transfer pictures and ads from items googled or email also (junk). Is there anyway to stop this?
