HTC Sync Corrupts Outlook Contacts
MikeMJ
I recently switched to an HTC Sensation 4G (Android 2.2.3, HTC Sense 3.0, Firmware 1.29.531.2). My desktop computer is running Windows 7 Home Premium (SP1) 64-bit, and I am using Outlook 2010 (32-bit). I originally installed HTC Sync V3.0.5551 from the SD card, but it had problems connecting to the phone...

Re: Need to download software to sync G2 with Outlook
MDHR
Did it. Exactly as per the methods described on the w/s. But it still doesn't work. The s/w simply refuses to recognize the phone. The phone automatically connects in USB mode and option to connect in Sync mode is not provided. What could I be doing wrong?? Any suggestions?? Thanks again... DHR

My work email push server is MS Exchange 2010 and the thing works fine to my PC with Outlook. It also ran great to my old Blackberry phone, but on my new (well a couple of months old), HTC Inspire phone a significant number of folders don't seem to appear on the phone and none of the messages either...

Re: HTC duplicating contacts in Outlook
ozarkx
Yes, new contacts added to my phone will eventually get to my Outlook on my laptop. Depends on when you set your gSyncit to sync. I have mine set to sync whenever I restart Outlook. So, for several different reasons, I now routinely turn off Outlook at least a couple times during the day and reopen it...

Re: When will HTC Sync work with MS Outlook 2010 64-bit?
Jemwir
I had to backup Outlook, uninstall 64 bit and reinstall 32 bit. I got my Office online so i was offered both versions. It was pretty easy for me, but if you don't have access to both versions.... I haven't noticed any performance issues with the swap.

Re: HTC duplicating contacts in Outlook

I had the same problem. Also found that Sync messed up my contacts on my computer by making them display first name first and they were ordered by first name. The only way to fix it is to do each contact one by one. If you have that problem and want the fix, let me know at kedavis.09@gmail.com. So anyway...

Re: Alternative Software to Sync Droid Incredible and Outlook 2010

Txs for the encouragement. Yesterday I downloaded MyPhoneExplorer. The installation went fine, but my sync with my Droid Incredible is cumbersome. My guess is I need access to a help site. I need to do two syncs: (1) I highlight Contacts and then Synch. I then go back and nighlight Calendar and then...

Outlook 2010 and Droid Incredible - My Droid is overwriting and duplicating on my PC - Settings are Collect?

After three very polite calls to HTC technical support I joined this Forum. I am afraid to use my HTC sync to update Droid People and Calendar via my Dell PC using Outlook 2010 (with Windows 7). The latest problem is my PC files Contacts/People as Last Name, First Name. My Droid Incredible files People...

Re: HTC Sync with Office 2010 x64
Mollcons
I downloaded the suggested update. It managed to sync everything other than anything to do with Outlook. I have Outlook 2010 x64 which I believe to be the issue. However, when I messaged HTC Support, they indicated that only Outlook versions up to 2007 are supported. My response, I am afraid, was more...
