Did it. Exactly as per the methods described on the w/s. But it still doesn't work. The s/w simply refuses to recognize the phone. The phone automatically connects in USB mode and option to connect in Sync mode is not provided. What could I be doing wrong?? Any suggestions?? Thanks again... DHR

I had the same problem. Also found that Sync messed up my contacts on my computer by making them display first name first and they were ordered by first name.
