I just got the mytouch slide a few weeks ago. Almost everytime I would try to make a phone call the phone would reboot itself. I got very frustrated so I went to T-Mobile and had them give me a brand new phone, a new sd card and a new sim card just in case. I have had the new phone for 3 days now and this phone does the same thing. Not as often as the other one did but it still does it. I can use almost every other function on the phone but if I try to make a cal... reboot. I love the features but I need this to be a PHONE first. Has anyone had the same problem? Or know of a fix?
Thanks!!
I am having the same issue with my phone
the same :((
i have the same problem. my husband and i both have the same phones (mine is white, his is black, although im sure the color is completely irrelevant) his has never once done this, mine does it literally, every other call. sometimes more than once before it will let my call go through.
I have 2 Black MyTouch Slide 3gs and I am experiencing the same issue on both phones. nearly everytime I make or receive a call it shuts off. It even erases all of my contacts when it comes back on. I have spoken with TMobile customer service for about a total of 4 hours and 10 different reps to no avail. Seems to me that there is a major issue with the software/firmware or even the hardware on this phone. I have read hundreds of posts just like this one. Is there noone including HTC that can remedy this issue? I used to think HTC was one of the better manufacturers but I am beginning to wonder.
My wife had the Mytouch 3G Slide. Original problem occured 6-7 months in, phone freezes and needs rebooting. Contacted TMobile and had them Send out 1 replacement refurb after another. 3 So far in total. All of them reboot after 15+ minutes. What is going on with them? They say they can't offer a new unit and the upgrade to the 4G they wanted like 319.99. I would rather cancel the contract, go somewhere else. Its really rediculous that they can't follow their own agreement and supply you with a working phone. I think they charge Tmobile customers 20.00 to send out refurbs under warranty that have not been properly inspected. 3 Weeks and counting without a working phone.
Any class action lawsuits with this problem with HTC and Tmobile. Anyone up for one?
I've had my MyTouch for just over a year and it's never done that. However, i JUST got the software upgrade yesterday and ever since then it's been doing crazy stuff...it's mixing up my contacts and telling me someone who is calling who actually isn't (same for texting) ... also is rebooting every time I try to check my voicemail or make a call. This is ABSURD. They need to FIX THIS AND FIX IT NOW.
Also forgot to add that my phone won't unlock on let's say the first 5 tries...also the touch buttons will randomly not work and it freezes up- this is all within the last 24 hours....ridiculous
just wanted to let you all know that I tried a Factory Reset and that did not work either....still rebooting. I'm going to the storefront today to get a different phone. I can't even make a phonecall- ridiculous.
update- i took advantage of my phone insurance. The new phone they sent me is awesome. Works better than the 2 previous mytouch slides that i've had. It has the software update on it, and even the friend stream app works! All problems solved- I love my phone again!
Yes.
They know there is a problem and refuse to deal with it.
I got the same problem and i need some one help me with this. is terrible!!!!!
I Have Had My Phone For A Few Weeks Now And Every Time I Make A Call My Phone Reboots Its Super Annoying Can Someone Please Give Me A Solution
Hi @Alvernese, that is a strange problem you’re having with your phone. Although, there is something you can try that should clear this problem up for you. The likely cause of your phone rebooting when attempting to make a call is your SIM card, visit your carrier and have them try a different SIM card for you.
I hope this information solves your reboot problem Alvernese; shoot us a reply back once you try a different SIM card with your results!
