How do I go about updating to the new ROM with a mac computer?  I can't seem to figure it out...maybe i'm missing something.

You are SOL!  I am a MAC user also, but I do have a Windows XP laptop which I have for these kind of situations.  The ROM can only be installed with HTC Sync and it's only available for Windows.  I'm guessing HTC doesn't think that MAC-users(Former iPhone Users Looking For A Change) would want their phones?
