HTC Aria wont power on even after charge

Hoping someone can help...........

It started with a strange white screen with a bunch of boot/reboot info...and 3 little android guys at the bottom. The phone wouldn't respond to anything including the vol up down and power button...I then took the battery out to try to reset the phone and now it wont power on at all...not even after being charged for hours...if I am lucky I just get the weird screen as mentioned above but, that only lasts for about a second then the screen goes black again...while plugged in the top corner LED light is red...

Please tell me my phone isn't completely dead and that the info on it is retrievable.....I know all my contacts are on the SIM card but, not sure where anything else may be although, I do have an SD card in the phone...

Any help is greatly apprciated.

I've been receiveing about 10-15 phone calls per day from a withheld number, sometimes my phone rings at 3 o4 in the morning. I already called AT&T to see if there is a way to identify the caller and block it but the only solution they gave me was to change my phone number. Now I found that in settings the Aria has the barring option but I haen't found the instructions to do it. Can somebody tell me how to do it? THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

How to turn off Incessant email notifications

The thing plays the notification sound about every 15 minutes when I have an unread email sitting in the box. Is there any way to set it to just notify me once? Besides being a massive annoyance it kind of voids the premise of a "notification" since I find myself checking messages I've already read when I do look, and missing actual new messages when I ignore it thinking that its notifying me of old messages again.

Hello. I've been trying to put the 2.2 update on my phone but it keeps saying the the battery on my phone is at less then 30% and to charge it and try again. My phone has a full charge though and I've never had any battery issues, it usually lasts just fine with no problems. Anyone know how I can get it to work?

Proximity Sensor Unreliable

I've been having a vary annoying and frustrating problem with my Aria. When I hold my Aria to my ear, the screen doesn't stay off, but randomly goes on and off. When the screen goes on, I push all sorts of screen buttons, causing my phone to dial my voicemail, the last number I dialed, or just hang up, when I'm in a call. This makes it very difficult to have important business conversations on the phone.

This appears to be a problem with the Aria's proximity sensor. Based on what I've read on other forums, lots of people are having this problem, and the problem has to do with long hair. Apparently, when the proximity sensor "sees" hair it gets confused and turns the screen on. This has been verified by my husband who doesn't have this problem with the phone while I do. I've tried brushing my hair away from my ear when I talk, but some always manages to get near the phone and this problem keeps coming back.

I can't believe that the engineers at HTC never tested this phone with long hair. This seems like very poor engineering and HTC should be ashamed of themselves for letting this sort of issue slip through. I'm now stuck with a phone that I can't talk on.

Does anyone else have this problem?

HTC: Are you aware of this, and are you planning on doing anything to fix this?

I'm about to throw this phone away because I can't complete a phone call on it.

talk has stopped working. when I press the talk icon, I get jumped back to the home page that holds the talk icon. Seems as though the phone has lost its info on my google account.

Is there a way to 're-initialize' the talk app? Thanks in advance for suggestions!

Stuck in boot loop

HTC Aria stuck in a boot loop

1) When power on, get all white screen with green HTC

2) brief black, then all white screen with green HTC and "quietly brilliant"

3) then the flying "3g" fireballs and the bars, then the "AT&T world phone" screen.

4) then back to 2 and endlessly repeat 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3 ...

The only odd thing that happened was when I powered off last night I did not notice the "your phone is shutting down [ok] [cancel]" dialog. That was the first thing I saw when I powered on this morning. I hit [ok] to finish the shutdown, then powered it up again. That time it complained about a lot of stuck tasks and gave me the kill it dialog repeatedly about a lot of tasks (including HTC Sense). I eventually powered off because it was useless. The next time it came up it started the cycle.

Any ideas?

Google Maps Navigation Freezing

I am on CyanogenMod 7 for the HTC Aria V7.1.0 and have Google Maps V.6.0.0 installed. When I use turn-by-turn navigation, my Aria sometimes freezes and I have to do a reboot or even sometimes need to take the battery out. Anyone else experiencing this? Any possible remedy?

One note: When this happens, my phone is usually in charging mode. It looks like it is heating up quite a bit. Might this be an overheating problem?

Must reboot router everytime to connect wifi---why?

I'm using a DLink DIR-615. I have to reboot the router everytime to connect wifi. My Aria finds it, remembers it, but is constantly trying to obtain access each time I try to reconnect after turning of wifi or after I come back from "out of range." Any ideas as to why this is?

I think this is a long shot, but i figured it doesnt hurt to ask. I just switched to metro pcs and i hate the phone i had to get which is a lg beacon (we had very limited choices) I had an htc aria with att, who we switched from. I am wondering if there is a way I could mod the htc aria so it will work on the metro pcs network?

I shut my phone off every night and this morning when i went to turn it on it goes all the way to the 3G screen then restarts over and over. I tryed the soft reboot and the hard reboot I cant seem to do it. Any info would be appreaciated...Thanks

Radio apps pause?

When listening to Radio Apps on my Aria, they will play for about a minute, and pause. It happens everytime I try to listen to ESPN Radio or TuneIn Radio. I've done a hard and soft reset.

I try to press the letters 'g' and 't' when I text and they don't work! It is really irritating! How do I fix this? I've never dropped my phone or anything. I don't know whats wrong with it! I tried to calibrate it but it still won't work! PLEASE HELP!
