Low on space warrning

I keep getting a Low on space warrning your device is running extremely low on space. I look at the SD & phone storage and I have a total of 14.26 GB available space.

LED flashes at random times and doesn't respond to flashlight app etc.

The LED on my phone flashes on for a second at random times. Used to work just fine when new but started acting weird months ago. It did this before and after the update to 2.2. The LED does not respond to anything when it should, such as taking a picture with the flash set to on or using the flashlight app in 2.2.

The update has been out on the developer site for a while. Has anyone in the U.S. tried to put it on their phone? I am looking to get more RAM and to get rid of programs I don't use that were on the phone when I got it and can't remove.

I keep getting this message with the us cellular desire I think because most of the apps are installed on the phone and not the sd card. Does anyone know how to install apps onto the sd card to free up storage on the phone ? I read that with updated 2.2 system this problem is addressed anyone read when us cellular will be releasing 2.2 system?

Any comments on the HTC Hero S from US Cellular?

Voice recognition problems after Froyo 2.2 upgrade

Prior to upgrading to Froyo 2.2, voice recognition was available on all the keyboard applications. Since upgrading, the only application on which it works is Google search. Is there a fix for this?

I am also having problems with autocorrect functionality when typing on the keyboard - anyone know why this might be?

I have an HTC Desire from US Cellular. When I got the phone, it had 2.1, which I later updated to 2.2. Recently the 2.3 was released on htc's developer site, which I have downloaded, but am having troubles installing. It seems to be running fine, it resets my phone and begins the update. However, it sits on updating signature for a while then tells me "ERROR [130]: MODEL ID ERROR The ROM Update Utility cannot update your Android phone. Please get the correct ROM Update Utility and try again." Is this because I have the US Cellular model, or is there a way around this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

150 meg of storage REALLY?!?!!

(Now I could be wrong about this but looking at a storage app I downloaded it says I have 150 useable storage. If this figure is wrong please let me know how to make it so I have more storage)

I have to say I really love the performace of my HTC Desire. The major and I mean MAJOR downfall is the serious lack of storage. I currently have almost no applications on my phone and keep getting low on storage.

Good 18 megs, Netflix 17 megs, Adobe Reader 6 megs, Maps 10 megs, swiftkey X 6 megs

just those equal 57 megs with a few games I am constantly running out of storage. Because I am using hboot 1.06 I can't root it. So there you go. I wish I had bought a Samsung Mez. I heard it has 2 gigs of usable storage.

Before people start flaming me I don't like the size and look at the samsung mez but I do like the fact that you can put more stuff on it.

I sure wish I could root my phone. Believe me I have tried a bunch of times with no luck.

Is anyone else having reception issues with their US Cellular HTC Desire?

Here's the situation. I've experienced the same problem with TWO HTC Desire's so far. I have GREAT cell phone reception for about two weeks and then suddenly, areas with normally great reception experience almost zero reception. Holding a friends Desire close to mine shows that my friend (on the same carrier) has perfect reception while my phone shows none. Doing a hard reset has not fixed the problem either time. I did a warranty replacement (through US Cellular) the first time and am about to get a SECOND replacement phone. Neither of the phones has been mistreated in any way...not even dropped once. Having been an HTC phone user for several years now (recently switched from an HTC Touch to the Desire), I haven't experienced anything like this before.

I'm just wondering if this is a fluke (just my luck) or if there is a larger problem that hasn't been discovered yet?

Hello: I just got the HTC Desire and i dig it quite a bit. BUT i got big hands and since i do a lot of texting and email from it the onscreen keyboard makes it hard for me to type. I have big fat fingers. Was looking to get an external keyboard.. Any suggestions of keyboards that can work with it? Any info is appreciated.. Eaglesoft

HTC Desire unable to install Froyo

I am having severe problems trying to install Froyo onto my HTC Desire on U.S. Cellular. Each time I try to install it without using the HTC sync application installer it gives me error 170: USB CONNECTION ERROR. If I try to use the HTC Sync it says the installation was not successful. Can anyone give me any help? I am using windows 7 Home edition.

After few problems I have updated my Desire to froyo but it have problem with SD card , sometimes it says SD card is not installed, or sth like it.

It never happened on 2.1, it looks like problem with froyo, It hurts a lot when your app are installed ther.

Does anybody know haw to fix it.

Battery Life HTC Desire

I can well imagine this has been discussed at great lengths elsewhere in this forum. Nonetheless, I cannot find the thread. That being said, I am writing this to express my deepest disappointment with the battery life with the HTC Desire. Yes, I have jumped through all the hoops and did an extensive search to find all the tricks, hints, and tips on how to increase the battery life for this phone. Yet, the problem still exists. Make no mistake about it, I absolutely love this phone. I love its user friendly interface, the feel, and the graphic reproduction this instrument offers. There are only two things that separate me from announcing, from a mountain top, the beauty of this fine piece of electonics, the reception/transmission, and the battery life. I would strongly suggest HTC work very hard in developing a better, more potent battery. Then, send it out to all who carry this phone for immediate replacement. It could very well correct other issues this phone is certain to have. Yes, I realize this phone is far more than a communication devise and has latitudes and capabilities far beyond the typical cell phone. Nevertheless, at the price we pay for it, we deserve to be able to go, untethered from a charge cord for at least half a day, in normal, and even abover normal use. If other users agree, let their voices be heard. I sincerely want to be a good ambassador for HTC and my Desire.

With HTC's announcement to stop using encrypted bootloaders, will HTC be releasing a tool to S-OFF phones that have already been shipped? I used to have a nicely rooted phone with CM7 on it and loved it. It broke when I dropped it and my replacement phone has Hboot 1.06. I'm pulling my hair out with the features that are missing, horrible battery life, etc... in this stock ROM. Should I have any hope?

Accepting Calendar Events from Outlook

I receive email notifications of meetings via Outlook for work. When I open these email on my phone I can not send an acceptance of the proposed meeting time and it does not automatically add it to my calendar on the phone and create a reminder.

What can I change to make this work correctly? I can not always get into my laptop and synch my phone every time I get an invitation.
