A Hard Reset restores the original factory settings and will erase all downloaded content, including ringtones, contacts stored in the handset memory, etc. It does not erase data stored on the SIM card or memory card (if available).

Menu Path Method

1. From the Home screen, press the Options Button and select Settings.
2. Select Security.
3. Select Factory reset.
4. Enter “1234” and press OK.
5. The device will dump all of the data and reload to the Setup Wizard when it is again ready for use.

What if the phone is completely unable to turn on?  I have two of these phones, both died.  Both are charged.  Both are just blank screens and unable to turn on.  Phones purchased new about a year ago.
