  • No networks are found

Ensure that Airplane Mode is disabled.

    Start>All Applications Arrow>Settings>Airplane Mode

Ensure the Wi-Fi is turned on.

Start>All Applications Arrow>Settings>Wi-Fi. The device will then return a list of available networks.

Touch the listing that you would like to connect to and follow any onscreen prompts.

Attempt to connect in different locations.

If no networks are detected, soft reset and retest.

If the issue persists, Hard Reset the device and retest.

If no success, the device can be considered for an Exchange.

Desired network does not show up as an option

Verify that you are not trying to connect to a hidden/non broadcasting network.

WP7 only allows connection to broadcasting WiFi networks, there is not an option to connect to a hidden network.

    Is the network within range?

Try changing locations and attempting to connect to other hotspots.

    Perform a Soft Reset

If the problem still remains, perform a Hard Reset.

  • Where does one set the device IP address, netmask, gateway, DNS and SDNS on this phone?  In short, how do I setup the basic network connections?
