OK First of all I have a HD7S ATT phone thats been unlocked and put on w/t-mobile ( mostly because of data price). Anyway I downloaded I tunes yesterday and tried to update phones software and it goofed up now. When I attempt to power it on it powers on gives the 1 vibration and displays the white HTC screen. If the phone was powered on for awhile the previous time it gives 7 additional vibrations and hangs on the HTC screen. If I pull the battery and leave it out for min of 2 minutes and up to 5 minutes it will power all the way into the main screen and within 5 minutes it will just power off no signs of powering down just turns off. Try to reboot and it will hang on the boot screen unless I remove battery for awhile.I receive no error codes.
I have tried to run update again as Zune still says its not updated but it wont stay on long enough now to even try to update the phone.
So here's the questions, This phone is about 6 months old I know it came with a 1 year warranty BUT since I unlocked it and switched carriers would AT&T warranty it? Question 2 what can be causing this problem I swear that if this was a actual PC that the CPU is overheating and its not being a good little phone but I don't know and why did it start when I did a upgrade. Also what is the vibration code for. I assume the 7 vibrations is something.
My experience with AT&T would say they won't cover you. the last time I tried to get them honor a warranty on a device that was branded with their name they told me they couldn't help me since I had no AT&T number. I would try to contact HTC warranty support and see what happens.
i would try contact HTC as well
