Most of the times simply clicking on the link will download the picture message with no problems, however, often times clicking it does nothing at all.

The only work around I found to this was restarting the phone, after the restart the picture shows up fine on the text message. Myself, spouse and 2 friends with HTC Arrives are all experiencing this problem.

Just bought htc 7 pro: I have no sim card for connection setup

Hello,

If you type past 160 characters you get the message "The message is too long 161/160" and you are unable to send. Other current and past phones on the same network auto-split the message and allow you to keep typing. This is also mentioned in the manual.

You have to backspace the message back to 160 characters and send, then send the rest of your message manually. It ammounts to an annoyance and slows you down. Kind of silly considering this is a modern device on a modern OS. Is there a reason for this behavior?

Also wondering if this is HTC's problem, Microsoft's, or Sprints as far as the rom/OS update is concerned?

HTC 7 Pro: The display lights up if the sliding mechanism is even slightly nudged?

Hello, have you noticed that if the right side of the sliding mechanism is slightly nudged, the display lights up? It's a solid device battery life is pretty good for a smart phone but I'm only running it on EDGE. Some of my main gripes about the phone. I realize some of this stuff only Microsoft can fix.

The hardware keyboard feels great but it's pretty useless most of the time, nothing takes advantage of the speed you can gain from having a hardware keyboard. You can't navigate fields with the arrow buttons for example if you're writing an email and you want to jump the cursor from the "To:" field to the "Subject:" field pressing the arrows do nothing, you have to take your hand off the keyboard and touch the field you want. The only time you can use the arrows is moving around in a text box you're typing in.

You can use the arrow keys and shift to select text but you have to touch the screen in order to copy/paste it. Often times, I have to switch between landscape and portrait mode because Windows Phone 7 doesn't play nicely in landscape mode. Or I have to get used to reading sideways.

Windows Phone 7 does not rotate the main tile screen when you're you're in landscape mode.

There's a slight delay when turing on/off bluetooth often times I end up turning it on and off by accident because when I press on the on/off toggle it doesn't animate right away.

It would be if you could "pin" commonly used settings to the home screen for example airport mode you need to go into settings than go into the airport mode screen than touch the on/off button.

Improve the HTC hub so that it's not just a the weather and an app catalogue. It has potential, I don't need to see YouTube app on that screen all the time.

This is a link to a very good comparison between HTC TyTN II (Kaiser) and the HTC 7 Pro while the 7 Pro is much faster because of the updated operating system and hardware it points out how efficient a hardware keyboard can be when properly integrated with the software
http://keypadqwerty.com/htc-7-pro-vs-htc-tytn-ii/

Phone Bugs

Ok having owned the phone for about 2 weeks, I've come across some crazy bugs.

I have an alarm set for 7:15AM EST every weekday morning, the alarm will go off at the right time but when I press the power button to turn the screen on so I can dismiss or snooze the alarm the screen turns on but it's frozen. It will display the wrong time off by several hours and when I swipe the screen to bring up the unlock number pad nothing happens. The alarm will continue to sound because there's no way to turn it off until you reboot the phone. This bug happens pretty much every day.

When you are conversing with someone over SMS if there is an SMS notification comes in from that person while you're in the middle of reading the SMS conversation the screen loop/scrolls.... so it will jump to the top of the SMS conversation and scroll all the way back down to the bottom and repeat itself until you dismiss the SMS notification at the top of the screen by tapping on it.

I'd consider these to bugs pretty major as these 2 features are a BASIC part of every phone including dumb phones. I'm losing confidence in this phone and the operating system, I keep my iPhone handy just as a backup incase this thing totally fails to wake me up in the morning for work or who knows what else.

HTC pro multilingual keypad support

Hey Dear members and all supporters , I was wondering if "HTC pro 7" would be available with Arabic keypad layout .If so when and where can i Purchase it from.
