I thought there would be an easy answer, but I couldn't find it in the instructions. If i'm on a phone call, when I get a text message or a voicemail, how do I stop the sound notifications without ending the phone call i'm on? This has happened a couple times and it's so embarrasing because my voicemail notification, which I normally stop with the hang-up button, is a full song of Depeche Mode.

There is not a way to stop/interrupt these alerts when they come in. Choosing a shorter audio file for your alert is the only option.

I'm having the same problem. The HTC person told me that there are only two options.. 1- turn off the notification sounds altogether (NO!) or 2. use a shorter ringtone (NO!). Isn't the purpose of a ringtone to hear it?! Even the ringtones that came with the phone are annoying to have blared in your ear when you're trying to have a phone conversation.. Sorry we got stuck with really poopy software.
