I am doing updates to the phone. And the HTC rep said I needed to save the contacts using Microsoft Activesync. But how do I load them onto the Activesync?  I was told do to a reset once i do this. He was very impatient with wanting to help me. So I hung up with him. He told me to try for help on here.

Do you have Outlook on your PC?  If so, when you hookup your Tilt ActiveSync (or Windows Mobiel Device Center if on Vista or Windows 7) will setup a partnership and sync your contacts, calendar and task to the PC (some other files as well).

You could also backup your contacts to your sim card.  Or try http://miqlive.com/ (formally dashwire) for an online backup.

BUT, if you are doing updates and then a reset I am thinking he means a soft reset, which should not lose any data
