  • A Hard Reset restores the device to its default settings — the way it was when you first purchased it and turned it on. Any programs you installed, data you entered, and settings you customized on the device will be lost. Only Windows Mobile software and other pre-installed programs will remain.

There are 2 ways to perform a Hard Reset on this device:

    Menu Path

    1. Access the Settings Tab>All Settings>System>Clear Storage
    2. Follow the onscreen instructions.

    Keystroke Method

    1. With the device powered off,  press the SEND CALL , END CALL and POWER buttons  until you see this message on the screen:
“This operation will delete all your personal data, and reset all settings to manufacturer default. Press VolUp to restore manufacturer default, or press other keys to cancel.”
    2. Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.

  • Will this reset a jailbreak?  I recieved a used tilt 2 from a friend that he had jailbroken.  I don't want it jailbroken.  Help me if you know how to unjailbreak.  Thank you.

  • Will this wipe out all the phone numbers on my sim card too?  or can i take the sim card out to do it?

Hi, first it won't hurt or erase your contacts on the phone if the sim card is left in. I just now reset mine with the sim card installed and everything is fine. To answer the second question. I have hard reset with the sim card out, that works fine as well.

So either way you should be fine.

    Good Luck.
