I haven't been able to receive a text for 4 days now. I can send texts just fine and there hasn't been any error messages.
HTC Snap (sprint) windows 6.1
I found this post which better describes my problem. I also recently updated my firmware and I also get the error 107 code every now and then and says the message was saved to drafts. It seems to happen when I miss a private call. I haven't tried a hard reset yet although according to this guy that doesn't seem to help much:
"I update the firmware on my snap on thursday night and not I am not getting any text messages. Sprint hasn't been helpful at all and told me I need to have my phone reset but I can't get to a repair center till monday afternoon because of their hours. I am occasionally getting a message on my phone that a sent message was not sent it was saved to drafts with an error code of 107. Can anyone help?

Uploads0 update...After wirting out all my contacts, settings and anything else I was gonna need to redo I had sprint do a hard reset to my phone. I got all the back message and everything was working till I tried to change the ringtone. I get an ERRO The settings could not be saved. Sprint is willing to replace my phone if I pay the replacement fee. Any ideas how to fix this without replacing the phone. I am not even changing anything or adding contacts until this gets fixed or the phone replaced so that I don't have to do it twice. Any help is appreciated. "
I backed up my favorites and a couple of files to my storage card and used the 'clear storage' option. This set everything back to factory defaults and once I did that I received the billion texts that I had missed. Seems to work fine now. Don't know if it will mess up again when I update the firmware again.
Seems like Sprint is not at fault, Its the phone. So here's what you do. Make sure you Backup all your contacts and files using Microsoft Active-sync V4.5. You must have the full version of Windows Outlook. Then do a hard reset. This will clear everything and reset your phone to the factory settings. It also eliminates that last nasty firmware update which caused this mess in the first place.
Go to START then
ALL PROGRAMS, then
ACCESSORIES,
then CLEAR STORAGE.
Make sure you back everything up or it will not be retrieveable. Once it reboots and restores you should be able to receive texts. It worked for me.
Hope this helps.
Resetting only temporarily wors for me. The real problem is the firmware upgrade. I dont think hard resets re-write the ROM back to factory.
It seems the same applies to US Cellular. I called tech support they told me to replace the phone. Once I did the CLEAR STORAGE I recieved all of my text messages right away. Just remember you lose all apps and everything MY PHONE helps with that
Reseting is bull when a patch can be made. I have totally had it with reseting. I love my phone when it works so I am not going to buy a new one. HTC needs to patch and update the phone to Windows 6.5. If they want money for the DEVS to make it, HTC owes us and me for all the data loss (spent a good amount of money on games and busness apps) and time wasted.
Im done with Sprint.....Im done with HTC.....come 2011 its the I-Phone
Today thats what I am going to do. HTC lost a customer for life.
thats it? find the option to recieve sms and and change it.
