I've had a Touch Pro/Sprint for most of a year, but didn't discover this website until yesterday. I use Earthlink/Outlook for my email. When I connected the phone to the computer, the site said that my software needed updating. I followed the undate instructions and it appeard to have worked, HOWEVER, now I cannot find my phone contact list nor can I download emails. My pictures are still in memory and my GPS saved sites appear to be fine.

You can backup to your PC using ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center (depending on the OS of your PC).  You can also use a third party backup program.  Some devices have Sprite Backup loaded in the ROM.  If it is on your device, use it.  If not, you can buy it from www.handango.com, or you can buy my favorite backup Spb Backup - also from Handango.
