Yes, Lithium batteries although have no "memory charge", they do suffer from thermal problems... Quick Charge 3.0 is good enough i guess. I had One Plus 3 which is the worlds fastest charging technology (also One Plus 5 now). I was worried when i bought thay my battery will die, but no it didnt. One Plus made it so perfect that even at high voltages the battery is good but the adapter takes the heat which is awesome.. But yes NEVER bring to 0%, it will surely affect the battery life
