HTC's next-gen Vive Pre brings 'The Dark Knight' and 'The Matrix' to virtual reality

HTC Vive has progressed a lot in a year. And the reality of a usable whole-room VR experience has increased along with it.

A better display and Matrix-like boundary system means developers have an even cooler world to play in.

The HTC Vive is one of the most interesting virtual reality headsets of recent years. While it’s not completely ready for the general public as of yet, we did get a chance to check out the second-generation Vive hardware at CES 2016 here in Las Vegas. HTC is calling this new version the Vive Pre.
