外型 appearance

Slim metal shell 超薄金屬外殼
slim 不同於 thin ，不只是薄，HTC One A9 更是帶有曲線美感一支手機，整支手機以金屬外殼打造質感，shell 原指貝殼，在這裡當外殼，這個字也可以用 body 來替換。

A lot of people are addicted to iPhone’s gorgeous metal body.
很多人都著迷於 iPhone 的絕美金屬外殼。

The latest HTC One A9 has a slimmer body than M9.
最新的 HTC One A9 手機比 M9 來得輕薄。

Red garnet color 石榴紅
One A9這次除了經典的 golden, silver, gray 金銀灰三色外，更多了石榴紅一色。除了石榴紅，其他的「紅色」要怎麼用英文說呢？

13 MP snapper 一千三百萬畫素鏡頭
MP= megapixel，mega- 為字首的字有百萬的意思，pixel 則是數位影像的像素，13 MP 就是1300 萬畫素。snap 是影像快照，現今流行的街頭攝影、街拍就是這個字啦！加上 -er 表示用來街拍的工具，即鏡頭，也可以直接用 camera 這個字。後鏡頭是大部份人主要拍照的鏡頭，所以也可以說是 primary camera/ rear camera (主要鏡頭)，而前鏡頭是 secondary camera/front camera (次要鏡頭)。各式手機配備著不同畫素的相機，或是配有其他的裝置，我們都會用 be equipped with 的片語，來看看以下例句怎麼說：

One A9 is equipped with a 13 MP primary camera and a 4MP secondary camera.
One A9 配有一千三百萬畫素的後鏡頭，和四百萬畫素的前鏡頭。

Operating system 作業系統
operate 這個字有系統處理和運轉的意思，在程式與軟體應用中很常見到這個字。

新發表的 HTC One A9 手機搭載 Android 6.0 作業系統，是最新的作業系統。
Some people buy iPhones for its operating system, while others are for its appearance.
有的人為了 iOS 作業系統而購買蘋果手機，然而有些則是為了它的外型。

Fingerprint (identity) sensor / fingerprint scanner 指紋辨識
fingerprint 是指紋，透過指紋來辨識使用者身分 (user identity)，將拇指放在 Home 鍵的位子，就可以用指紋解開手機鎖。可以用 sensor 表示感應系統，或是 scanner 表示將手指放上去掃描的動作。

像指紋辨識這種生物識別技術 (biometric security) 的科技，還有

Battery life 電池續航力
提到手機的電池續航力，常常會覺得 the thicker the better (越厚電池越好) 但又擔心手機因此變得厚重，One A9 雖然只配備 2150 mAh 的電量，比 iPhone 多了一些，卻遠不及其他 Android 手機，如 Samsung’s Galaxy S6。

Thanks to the improved efficiency of Android Marshmallow, One A9’s battery life issue has been solved.
多虧了大幅提升系統效率的 Android 6.0，One A9 的電池續航力問題才得以解決。

一整天下來，手機沒電了！我們會說 out of battery，out of something 就是某物用完用光之意，像是車子會 out of gas 沒油了！這時我們會需要充電，charge your cell phone。

One A9 doesn’t come with the latest Quick Charge 3.0, but it does support it.
One A9 並沒有內建最新的 QC 3.0 的高速充電，但他能擴充支援這項功能。

"garnet"這個單字真的是平常很少會用到的字語,也感謝大大的資訊分享,讓我又多增長了一些見識
