Of course people buy phones for the updates, because its part of what you pay. Its like a laptop or a tablet. You buy a laptop with windows 10 and if windows is perfect but they will say no security update because dont worry it has good Processors ram and speed will you agree?? If you agree then im sorry. Security updates are extremely crucial. Our phones store credit card/debit card information/ NFC payment and many such passwords.. Failure to monitor them and not providing update after a Major flaw is a risk to all the phones. There has been 2 major cyber attacks worldwide in 2018/2017..

I agree the manpower issue, but i believe the dev team is intact or transported paritally to google.. only the industry team is affected... and they are having few releases every year compared to many in 2011 or those times... still 7 months without any update is kinda bad, especially when you pay like 700+$... Lets see what they can do.. but if you can communicate with them, then kindly do lodge this issue saying no update because their official chat is in chinese and i cant voice my opinion... Thanks...

I cant speak Chinese so im using english and i have used Google Translate for Translating into chinese. HTC U11 is compared with Galaxy S8 because HTC made a wonderful camera, even more RAM and processor is same.. But HTC software terribly sucks.. Samsung Active updates S8 with security and new improvements but i havent received even one major improvement in HTC..

HTC software terribly sucks even though they have very good hardware specs, in fact rating U11 camera a 90 score on DxO mark... I am terribly disappointed after waiting and we dont have 120 fps or 240 fps slow motion..
