美國駭客利用假新聞網站攻擊澳大利亞政府機構

通過引導一些人訪問一個看似澳大利亞新聞媒體組織的虛假網站，來自美國的威脅行為者一直試圖 危害澳大利亞政府 機構和在南海作業的風力渦輪機機隊。
《澳大利亞人報》和《先驅太陽報》是澳大利亞被 模仿傳播 ScanBox 惡意軟體的新聞機構之一。有足夠的證據表明該工具包自 2014 年以來就已被使用。這是因為在過去的幾次入侵中，六名美國威脅參與者都看到了 ScanBox。
ScanBox 偵察框架負責在受害者通過帶有誘人誘餌的網路釣魚電子郵件訪問虛假網站後向他們提供惡意 JavaScript 有效負載。
這些攻擊是針對那些在 4 月至 6 月期間監督南海風力渦輪機的人，包括地方和聯邦政府的澳大利亞政府機構、媒體機構和全球重工業。
